The City of Cayce Announces Interim City Manager

CAYCE, SC – Cayce City Council is pleased to announce Assistant to the City Manager, Rachelle Moody, has been appointed as the Interim City Manager. Ms. Moody has been employed with the City of Cayce for nearly 2 years, and has 11+ years’ experience working in government and nonprofit organizations. Ms. Moody accepted this position as former City Manager, Rebecca Vance accepted a new position with Dorchester County on March 15, 2018. 

 

Rachelle Moody began her tenure with the City of Cayce in July of 2016 as the Grants and Special Projects Manager. She was promoted to the Assistant to the City Manager position in December 2017, and was formally appointed Interim City Manager in March of 2018. Rachelle has extensive knowledge of local government administration, grant and project management, and community development. A native Kansan, she holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Wichita State University. Rachelle is passionate about local government and looks forward to serving the City of Cayce as the Interim City Manager.

 

Mayor Elise Partin stated, “We are so thrilled to appoint Rachelle as interim City Manager. She has done such a phenomenal job for the City of Cayce in her positions as Special Projects/Grants Manager and Assistant to the City Manager, and we know she will continue to serve our City in the same manner!
