Vote for the City of Cayce to Win $20,000 for the Cayce Riverwalk During Earth Month

Cayce, SC – For the fourth year in a row, the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) is collaborating with The Walt Disney Company to help fund local park improvement projects across the country through the national “Meet Me at the Park” Earth Month campaign. The city that receives the most online nominations will receive a $20,000 grant to improve a local park. This year, City of Cayce leaders and residents are hoping to receive the funding for the Cayce Riverwalk Park.

Community parks are essential to a city’s health and wellbeing. They inspire a healthy lifestyle and serve as a place for kids and grown-ups alike to connect with nature and each other through sports and play. That’s why for the month of April, Cayce residents will have the opportunity to nominate our city to receive $20,000 in grant funding towards improvements at the Cayce Riverwalk.

By visiting http://www.nrpa.org/DisneyMeetMeAtThePark, people across the nation can nominate the City of Cayce and vote once each day between now and April 30. At the end of April, the city with the most nominations will receive the grant funding. Everyone who nominates a city will also be entered into a drawing for a GoPro Prize Pack.

“Residents and visitors alike enjoy our beautiful Riverwalk daily. With approximately 600,000 people visiting each year, this grant would further enhance our community’s centerpiece. Encourage your friends to vote each day for the City of Cayce!” says Mayor Elise Partin.

“At NRPA we believe everyone deserves a great park. That’s why we’re proud to collaborate with The Walt Disney Company on this campaign,” said Lori Robertson, NRPA director of conservation. “Everyone is encouraged to join us in giving back to the places that shape so much of our lives by participating in this year’s campaign. A nomination for your favorite park is all it takes.”
