Water Notification
Beginning Sunday, August 10, and continuing through the next few months, Cayce Utilities will be conducting its annual flushing program throughout the city as required by the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services (SCDES.)
The flushing is a routine maintenance activity that helps maintain high water quality and ensures the proper operation of our water system. This process includes opening fire hydrants and releasing water for a short period of time to remove any buildup and sediment from the system.
🔹 What to Expect:
- Flushing will primarily occur overnight to minimize disruption.
- You may experience a temporary drop in water pressure during flushing in your area.
- Some residents may notice slightly discolored water the following day; this is temporary and does not pose a health risk.
💧 If You Notice Discolored Water:
- Let your cold water tap run for up to 3-5 minutes.
